Last week we went over the upcoming battleforces for Emperor’s Children and World Eaters – this time around we’re covering the other two brothers in Nurgle and Tzeentch! These sets are perfect for new players or starting a new army as an existing player, using either the Death Guard‘s Vile Vectorum and the Thousand Sons‘ Sekhmet Coven.
Thousand Sons: Sekhmet Coven
The Sekhmet Coven is an interesting box in the fact that it comes with four characters – one Infernal Master and three Exalted Sorcerer. This allows you to attempt even more Rituals per turn. However, they do not all have units to join up with – leaving them exposed.

Landing at exactly 1000pts – this list only requires the battleforce and a half-set of Rubric Marines. It is highly dependent on getting those Rituals to fire, benefitting from the Grand Coven’s detachment rules and being tricksy, so if you like to be a magician this is the army for you!
Death Guard: Vile Vectorum
The Vile Vectorum brings the best of the Death Guard‘s roster to bear in a single set – equalling 995 points and only requiring one additional box of Deathshroud Terminators. Using the Virulent Vectorium detachment allows this army to stay on the move while holding objectives

Sitting at 995pts, this strong list stomps across the battlefield – taking and leaving objectives under their control. There is a lack of anti-tank, however the Terminators of both types should be able to hold their own as the Bloat-drones clear the infantry in sprays of plague!
